SPIE is an international society advancing an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light.

Since 2001, when our Chapter was formed and approved by the SPIE Board, we have experienced and learned the gains and duties of being part of a professional optics organization.

Now, (Institute for Atomic Physics) SPIE Romanian Student Chapter is very active and we have organized the International Student Workshop on Laser Applications 2010 (ISWLA10) which was of great success.
