SPIE is an international society advancing an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light.

Since 2001, when our Chapter was formed and approved by the SPIE Board, we have experienced and learned the gains and duties of being part of a professional optics organization.

Now, the (Institute for Atomic Physics) SPIE Romanian Student Chapter is more active than ever and gathers no less a person than 51 students and young researchers with various experience levels and research interests. However, photonics and related applications remains the main common ground.
